Naturopathic medicine is based on 6 major tenets, which set it apart from other medical disciplines.

Treating the Whole Person:
To us at Each Peach Family Medicine this means booking between 30 minutes and 1 1/2 hour for office visits to fully explore how a patients’ varying complaints may be interrelated and how daily routines may play a part in the creation or perpetuation of symptoms.

Find and remove the cause:
We make every effort to discover what the root cause of a patient’s symptoms may be, because by addressing this rather than just each individual symptom, long-term improvement and often resolution of complaints can truly be achieved.

Assessments include comprehensive physical exams as well as modern laboratory testing and interpretation to best understand patients’ presenting problems and their roots in biochemical and physiologic processes.

First Do No Harm:
We believe in using the least interventive, most gentle treatments for patients in order to create few to no side effects.

The Healing Power of Nature:
Our treatment plans aim to enhance the own body’s innate desire to heal and find balance. Each patient’s plan is based on their own individual set of genetic and family traits, lifestyle habits and concerns. Treatments include a broad range of “natural” modalities including botanical medicine, homeopathy, hands-on bodywork techniques as well as the targeted use of pharmaceuticals.

Teaching:
Education and patient empowerment is a huge part of our role as naturopathic physicians at Each Peach Family Wellness. We want patients to understand their bodies and their symptoms as well as the reasons they are taking a certain herb or performing a self-care tool like deep breathing.

Prevention:
Through education and helping patients adopt lifestyle habits that promote health, longterm symptoms can resolve and chronic disease processes can be avoided. We focus on overall health, wellness and disease prevention.
