  7. Does Structural Integration hurt?
    • Some bodyworkers and patients believe “pain is gain.” In Dr. Kitt’s practice, this is usually not the case. She works hard to help patients experience change and relief without having to brace or hold their breath through a painful move or session. She invites patients to be in dialogue through their appointment about their own personal experience.
  8. Is homeopathy just placebo effect?
    • Dr. Kitt has seen some incredible resolutions of complaints after a person took a homeopathic remedy, and with no other changes or treatments. In some cases, the person himself didn’t “believe” in homeopathy, which would generally negate the placebo effect. Dr. Kitt’s basic belief about homeopathy is that it addresses symptoms by stimulating the body’s vital force, or energetic self. When you can recognize a loved one from far away, or can tell that you like someone when they walk into a room even if you don’t yet know them, you are perceiving something about that person’s “energy.” It doesn’t happen on a conscious level, usually, and it’s from this energetic, or unconscious level, that homeopathy can help.
  9. How do I know if I am done with my treatment?
    • Generally speaking, if your symptoms have changed or even resolved, make an appointment to be seen because your current plan may need to to be altered! For complaints like adrenal exhaustion, treatments can take 3-6 months or more. For more acute complaints, Dr. Kitt will try to give you a timeline for care when you leave the office. Dr. Kitt does not believe that people need to take lots of supplements forever to “stay healthy.” She’ll help figure out the most minimal approach to maintaining a person’s well-being. Follow-up visits in the office can be essential to fine-tuning the plan, don’t be a stranger!
